A consistent aquaponics model will be built in order to ensure the consistency and reliability of the variable being tested. The model used will be made of the components of basic materials, and then two aquaponics tanks will be set up using the apparatus. The variable of temperature will be taken into consideration and measured by the amount of ammonia held in the fish tank, signifying the metabolic rate change of the goldfish in the aquarium. Plant growth will also be taken into consideration as the effectiveness of each temperature.
- The first tank will be placed in a room temperature environment type of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, which will act as the control, and will be kept in a room of 70 degrees approximately
- The second tank will be placed under a water temperature of relatively high susceptibility, or 80 degrees Fahrenheit
