Accidents Happen-
On February 3rd,2017, Will Rigby walked in to check the Aquaponics System. To the groups utter disbelief, the tank was falling apart. It turns out, a neighboring aquaponics system overflowed, setting a chain reaction of unfortunate events to occur. The overflow leaked into the cardboard box supporting the plants- as well as the tubing. In turn, the plants collapsed, creating a water crisis. Then, the water pump continued to work- causing stressed Carassius auratus. Tubing that was installed prior to the project was dispersed everywhere, and water levels were so low that one of our specimen ( Carassius auratus ) passed away.

Deviation of Data-
As a result of this catastrophe, ammonia, nitrate/nitrite, and pH levels will be slightly deviated for a portion of time. Not only does the 85 degree Fahrenheit tank contain more ammonification due to the number of fish, the 73 degree fahrenheit tank will be significantly conglomerated. This is because one Carassius auratus is missing, and water flow is not allowing nutrients to be passed through a cycle system. This creates an ineffective aquaponics system, and a deviation of our data.
